Police Log: Five Teens Busted at Underage Party on The Flume

At 11:47 p.m., the Amherst Police Department responded to a reported underage party on The Flume. Five juveniles were detained, and court action is anticipated.

At 6:38 a.m., the Amherst Police Department investigated a three-car accident, where a vehicle was not secured properly, traveled backwards and struck two parked cars.  The owner of the moving vehicle was injured while making an attempt to stop the vehicle, and was transported to a medical facility for treatment.

At 11:50 a.m., the Amherst Police Department responded to a two-car accident on Route 101A. The drivers were William Hughes, 48, of Dracut, MA and Laurie Ware, 56, of Milford.

At 12:05 a.m., the Amherst Police Department arrested Cade McKay, 23, of 3 Randi Drive, Brookline on a charge of theft. McKay was released on $500 personal recognizance bail, with an arraignment date set for August 29, 2013 at the Milford District Court.

[Wednesday, July 24]

At 12:32 a.m., the Amherst Police Department arrested Deven Demanche, 20, of 4 Pearl Court, Merrimack on a charge of unlawful possession of alcohol. Demanche was released on $500 personal recognizance bail, with an arraignment date set for August 29, 2013 at the Milford District Court.

At 12:32 a.m., the Amherst Police Department arrested Danielle Brogna, 18, of 4 Pearl Street, Merrimack on a charge of transportation of alcohol by a minor. Brogna was released on $800 personal recognizance bail, with an arraignment date set for August 29, 2013 at the Milford District Court.

At 7:12 a.m., the Amherst Police Department responded to a single vehicle accident on Chestnut Hill Road (car v. deer). The driver was Sharon Vartanian, 57, of New Boston.

The Amherst Police Department investigated a burglary which occurred on Route 101A during the overnight hours. Money and a Huskvana designer sewing machine were taken.

At 4:56 p.m., the Amherst Police Department arrested Breton Flagg, 24, of 624 Sawmill Road, Greenfield on a charge of willful concealment. Flagg was released on $500 personal recognizance bail, with an arraignment date set for August 29, 2013 at the Milford District Court.

At 5:10 p.m., the Amherst Police Department arrested Colette Dineen, 21, of 624 Sawmill Road, Greenfield on charges of possession of a controlled drug and willful concealment. Dineen was released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail, with an arraignment date set for August 29, 2013 at the Milford District Court.
