POLICE LOG: Amherst Man Faces DWI, Drug Charges

[Friday, Aug. 31]

At 1:35 p.m., the Amherst Police Department arrested Michelle Novak, 45, of 99 River Road, New Ipswich on a charge of conduct after an accident. Novak was released on $500 personal recognizance bail, with an arraignment date set for September 13, 2012 at the Milford District Court.

At 10:58 a.m., the Amherst Police Department responded to a two-car accident in the parking lot of Fredericks Pastries.  No injuries were reported. The drivers were Mary Sloan, 53, of Merrimack and Thomas Tarr, 26, of Goffstown.

[Saturday, Sept. 1]

At 5:25 p.m., the Amherst Police Department arrested Amy Marie Meeks, 26, of 14 Overledge Drive #B, Derry on charges of driving after suspension and driving after suspension of registration of vehicle. Meeks was released on $600 personal recognizance bail, with an arraignment date set for September 13, 2012 at the Milford District Court.

At 9:30 p.m., the Amherst Police Department detained two juveniles on a charge of reckless conduct. Court action is anticipated.

[Sunday, Sept. 2]

At 12 p.m., the Amherst Police Department arrested Enrique Barreto, 27, of 160 S. Beach Street #B, Manchester on a charge of shoplifting.  Barreto was released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail, with an arraignment date set for September 13, 2012 at the Milford District Court.

At 9:20 p.m., the Amherst Police Department arrested Christopher J. Snow, 22, of 38 Thornton Ferry Road II, #A, Amherst on a charge of possession of a controlled drug.  Snow was released on $500 personal recognizance bail, with an arraignment date set for September 13, 2012 at the Milford District Court.

[Monday, Sept. 3]

At 11:35 p.m., the Amherst Police Department arrested Norman Thornton, 48, of 16 Hillside Avenue, Amherst on charges of DWI, possession of a controlled drug, transportation of a controlled drug and unregistered motor vehicle. Thornton was released on $2,500 personal recognizance bail, with an arraignment date set for September 13, 2012 at the Milford District Court.

[Tuesday, Sept. 4]

At 5 a.m., the Amherst Police Department arrested Dana Logan Kingery, 31, of 292 Pead Hill Road, Wilton on a charge of driving after suspension. Kingery was released on $800 personal recognizance bail, with an arraignment date set for September 13, 2012 at the Milford District Court.

At 4:35 p.m., the Amherst Police Department arrested Joseph Bradley Sullivan, 40, of 55 Oak Street, Milford on charges of driving after suspension and driving after suspension of registration of vehicle. Sullivan was released on $600 personal recognizance bail, with an arraignment date set for September 20, 2012 at the Milford District Court.
