Red Cross Blood Drive at Messiah Lutheran Church

 Messiah
Lutheran Church in Amherst has been sponsoring Red Cross blood drives for the
past 6 years and is proud to do so again this year.  It has become a tradition for the church in
honor of member Katie Retelle.

When is the Drive?  Saturday,
September 14th, from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Where is the Drive?   Messiah
Lutheran Church, 303 Route 101 (just before the Amherst Garden Center)

How Should I Prepare?   Reserve a
spot in advance (www.redcrossblood.org/make-donation)
or simply show up.  A nursing staff is on
hand to walk you through the process – it’s easy.  Following your donation, Messiah Lutheran is
happy to offer you nourishing (and tasty) snacks -- typically breakfast in the
morning and chili in the afternoon.  You
can find more information on eligibility at www.redcrossblood.org

What Should I Bring?  If you plan
to donate blood, please bring an identification card of some type (e.g., driver’s
license, student ID).  Other than that,
you’re set.

Why Should I Give?  Anywhere at any
time there’s an emergency, there’s always a need for blood, and donating it is
one of the most personally rewarding things you can do.  On a brighter note, nurses and donors often
comment that this drive is one of their favorites.
