School District's Proposed $24.33M Budget Advances

The proposed 2014-2015 spending package is $31,000 less than the current Amherst School District budget.

With very little debate, the Amherst School District's proposed $24.33 million budget for 2014-2015 advanced to the School District meeting warrant on Wednesday night, according to The Telegraph.

The Nashua newspaper reported the proposed spending package that will go before voters on March 11 is $31,000 less than this year's school budget. Two other warrant articles that would provide $332,000 to fund the second year of the district’s two-year pact with the Amherst Education Association and a proposed $50,000 capital reserve fund for educating students with disabilities also advanced, according to The Telegraph.
