Congratulations to Another Batch of Amherst Academics!

Patch Props to all of these local students making big achievements.

The following students have recently reached educational milestones:

  • Kevin Gaynor from Amherst, graduate of Souheagan HS, made Deans List at Villanova University this past spring semester. Kevin is part of the class of 2015 majoring in Economics and communication.
  • Kevin Goldsmith from Amherst, NH was named to the Spring 2013 Dean's List at Wake Forest University.
  • Samantha Jones from Amherst, NH was named to the Dean's List at the University of New Haven for the spring 2013 semester. Full-time undergraduate students must have a 3.50 or better cumulative GPA for the semester to be eligible for the Dean's List.
  • At the University of Rhode Island's 127th Commencement on Saturday and Sunday, May 18-19, 2013, more than 3,200 undergraduate and 770 graduate students became the University's newest alumni. Kyle Rafferty of Amherst, NH, received a MS in Electrical Engineering
  • Nicole Benjamin of Amherst will join the incoming class of Blue Hens during the University of Delaware's New Student Orientation (NSO) program this summer. Benjamin, from Amherst, NH, is one of approximately 3,600 new students scheduled to attend NSO.
  • The following local students were recently named to the Merrimack College Spring 2013 Semester Dean's List: Jacquelyn Jones, of Amherst, a Junior at the College. Kathryn Eagan, of Amherst, a Senior at the College.
  • Spring Arbor University is pleased to announce local students who were granted bachelor's or master's degrees during commencement exercises on Saturday, May 11.
  • Students from the local area are listed below with their full name, hometown, degree earned and parents (if supplied by student): Janette Rondeau, of Amherst, received a Bachelor of Social Work (Cum Laude--Graduating with a GPA of 3.50-3.69).   • Coastal Carolina University welcomes the Class of 2017. Over 2,200 first-year students have enrolled in CCU for the Fall 2013 semester. Before classes begin in August, all new first-year students will visit campus for a two-day orientation program where they will meet their academic advisors and learn what is expected of them as they transition from high school to college. Amherst students Thomas Rives and  Julia Cannon are attending.
