Autopsy Results Released for YWCA Murder-Suicide

Nine-year-old Joshua Savyon of Amherst died from multiple gunshot wounds.

New Hampshire Attorney General Joseph A. Foster and Manchester Police Chief David J. Mara announce that the autopsies have been completed on the two people killed in a murder-suicide that occurred in Manchester on Sunday, August 11.

The State’s Deputy Chief Medical Examiner, Dr. Jennie V. Duval, determined that the victim, Joshua Savyon, age 9, of Amherst, New Hampshire, died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds.

His manner of death has been ruled a homicide.

The perpetrator, Muni Savyon, age 54, of Manchester, New Hampshire, died as a result of a single self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. His manner of death has been ruled a suicide.

The incident is still under investigation.
