Amherst Officer Injured During Car Chase

Cheryl Nelson faces multiple felony and misdemeanor charges after trying to evade police.

An Amherst police officer was injured after his vehicle was stuck by a runaway car on Friday, according to WMUR.

Cheyl Nelson, 44, of Tyngsborough, Mass., was charged with numerous felony and misdemeanor charges after she refused to stop for police in Milford.

She crashed her car into a police vehicle driven by Sgt. Patrick Webster, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Nelson charges include DWI, simple assault and conduct after an accident.
