Former Bank VP Dies at 80

Murray was an Air Force veteran and longtime lector at St. Patrick's Church in Milford.

Louis L. Murray, of Amherst, died on Oct. 7 after a period of declining health, according to his obituary on Milford's Smith-Heald Funeral Home website

The former Executive Vice President of Indian Head National Bank, Murray was just days from celebrating his 81 on Oct. 27. 

Murray served in the U.S. Air Force and served as a combat medic in Japan during the Korean War. He earned a degree in finance and economics from Bryan College after returining home from the service. 

Murray was active in organizations like the United Way, Bishop Guertin High School Bingo Committee and served as a long time lector, Parish Council President, and Building Committee chairman at St. Patrick's Church in Milford. He was member of American Legion Post 92, Grafton, Mass.
