Every day, YMCA of Greater Nashua facilities serve as gathering places for the community. Kids pour in after school to play and do homework. Seniors connect with one another through exercise classes and group activities. Families learn how to eat healthy and grow together.  Teens spend time with their friends and get involved in leadership programs. To ensure that the Y can continue to provide those who need us the most with life-enhancing services and programs, the YMCA of Greater Nashua is launching its annual community support campaign.

As a leading nonprofit for strengthening community, financial gifts to the Y, ensure that no one is turned away from participating in Y programs and services due to inability to pay. And, gifts to the Y stay right here in the community, having a direct impact on those living in the Greater Nashua area.

This year’s volunteer campaign leaders include: Michael Rubino and Michelle Boockoff-Bajdek, current Y board members and Campaign Co-Chairpersons and Andrea Riley-Arnesen, current Y board member and VP of Fund Development.

From Co-Chair Michael Rubino, “I'm thankful that our supporters understand the impact they make when they contribute to this campaign. Whether providing a young child with an opportunity to learn how to swim, or educating teens about healthy lifestyle choices, their financial support allows us to make a real difference right here in the Nashua area.”

Speaking of why she has committed to help Co-Chair this campaign, Michelle Boockoff-Bajdek said, "The Y addresses the needs of the entire family, providing valuable services such as childcare and healthy living programs, while giving back to the community it serves.  Our annual campaign ensures we can make those programs accessible to everyone.”

Last year, financial support made it possible for 2,700 local kids, families and adults to experience the Y at significantly reduced costs; in programs such as child care, summer day camp, wellness, sports, dance & arts, and enrichment. This assistance was valued at over $490,000.
