Appointment of Souhegan Principal and Dean of Students Announced

The Souhegan Cooperative School Board and Superintendent Peter Warburton are pleased to announce the appointment of Rob Scully to the position of Souhegan High School Principal, and the appointment of Peter Gagnon as Dean of Students.  Both Rob and Peter have been fulfilling these roles on an interim basis since being appointed in July and August respectively. 

As a member of the Souhegan High School community for the past 14 years, Rob has been a respected member of the faculty as a ninth grade English teacher, as an athletic coach, and an advisor. He was also an active member of Community Council, Personnel Policy Committee and grade nine Team Captain.  Rob served in the capacity of Dean of Students during the 2012-13 school year, before being appointed to the Interim Principal position.  

Peter began his career as a biology teacher at Timberlane High School in Plaistow, NH. Before joining Souhegan as Interim Dean of Students in August, he was at Bedford High School, Bedford, NH, serving as the Coordinator of the International Baccalaureate Programme.

Superintendent Peter Warburton was very pleased with the Board nominations. "Given what I have seen over past few months, both Rob and Peter are strong and trusted additions to our leadership team, and I personally look forward to working with them."

Mary Lou Mullens, Chair of the Souhegan Cooperative School Board, stated “The Board received overwhelmingly positive feedback from staff, fellow administrators, parents and community members on the performance of both Rob and Peter in these interim roles.”  The Board voted on these appointments at their December meeting.
