Rabies and Microchip Clinic in Milford

The NH Foundation for Companion Animal Care (www.nhfcac.org)  announces this opportunity to get a Rabies shot for your dog or cat, no appointment needed.  Shots are $20.00 each and will be administered by a local veterinarian.  Dog licenses must be obtained by May 1 each year and a current Rabies vaccination is required for the license.

An initial shot is good for one year, followed next year by a booster that is repeated every three years.  Please bring a record of your pet's last rabies shot in order to get the three year shot.

Microchips, about the size of a grain of rice, can also be injected by the veterinarian.  These help veterinarians, animal shelters and similar agencies locate owners when a stray animal is found.  This can be particularly important for cats who get out unexpectedly and don't have a collar or other identification. The microchip costs $25.00 and there is approximately a $20.00 fee to register with an online registry service.

Dogs should be on a leash.  Cats should be in a carrier, but a pillow case will work just fine.

Please pay with check or cash.  We cannot accept debit or credit cards.  NHFCAC is a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization that helps veterinarians provide pet care when their owners cannot afford professional services.  Call Chris Christensen at (603) 759-6574 if you have questions or would like to donate.
