Signed Beatles Memorabilia Sells for More Than $70K at Auction House

Signed album and handwritten, signed lyrics were part of an online auction in September.

A copy of “With The Beatles,” signed by all four members of the legendary band, has earned some of the highest bids RR Auction in Amherst has seen with its online sale that closed Sept. 26, according to a post on Paul Fraser Collectibles.

The rare UK stereo first pressing, first cover edition with the original record sold for $40,762 at the end of last month. It is described by RR Auction house as “virtually nonexistent.”

“Paul McCartney's handwritten lyrics to the “White Album” song “Why Don't We Do It in the Road?” also fared well, selling for $36,100. With McCartney jotting a few lines of the song followed by a 2010 signature, the piece was originally donated by the Beatle to a charity auction in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust,” according to the post.
