New Microbrewery Wins ZBA Approval

Able Ebeneezer Brewing Co. is expected to open this spring.

The Merrimack Zoning Board of Adjustment granted a special exception for the new Able Ebeneezer Brewing Co. on Wednesday night.

The next step is for the microbrewery to address the conditions of approval from the Planning Board's site plan approval earlier this month. Once those are addressed, the plans will be signed and the applicant will be clear to obtain the necessary building permits.

"Based on my most recent meeting with the folks from Able Ebeneezer, they hope to be ready for opening sometime in mid-late April," assuming they receive all necessary permits from the federal and state agencies, said Timothy Thompson, Merrimack's community development director.

Carl Soderberg, one of the microbrewery's principal owners, has said they have already begun working on the interior of the building located at 31 Columbia Circle.
