Painting The Whole Picture For Princess K.I.M

Watch as the set for Princess K.I.M. The Musical comes to life!

A musical based on the story from a local author will soon come to life in Milford.

Rehearsals are now underway for Princess K.I.M. The Musical, which will be performed at the Amato Center Oct. 3-6. The production is based on the Princess K.I.M. children’s books written and illustrated by Amherst author Maryann Cocca-Leffler.

She is designing the sets to reflect the books’ illustrations and truly bring her story to life on stage. Cocca-Leffler and fellow children’s book illustrator Lucinda McQueen were hard at work painting on Monday. Watch the video above to hear more about the process.

Cocca-Leffler wants to give credit to her intern, art student, Jeremy Edelblut who has helped with the early painting and building of props.
