NH's Seth Meyers Takes Over at 'Late Night'

The "Saturday Night Live" alum has some big-name guests planned for his first week.

Bedford native Seth Meyers takes over the "Late Night" franchise tonight.

"Late Night with Seth Meyers" is set to premiere at 12:35 a.m. Meyers, the well-known standup comedian and host of Saturday Night Live's "Weekend Update" segment, is taking over the show from Jimmy Fallon, who took over for Jay Leno on "The Tonight Show" last week.

Among Meyers' guests this week will be Amy Poehler, Kanye West, Lena Dunham, Joe Biden and of course, new band leader and SNL alum Fred Armisen.

Meyers, a graduate of Manchester West High School – who delivered a standing-ovation-generating charitable routine to a sellout crowd of local fans in Bedford in 2012 – has been in the news often since being named Fallon's replacement on "Late Night" last year. He even made the cover of Time magazine earlier this year.
