Alex Preston moves on to compete another week on American Idol.
Preston, a Mont Vernon native and Souhegan High graduate, impressed the judges and audience Wednesday, including performing "The A Team" by Ed Sheeran during "Competitor's Pick."
Dexter Roberts was voted off the show, which is now a Top 6.
