Alex Preston in American Idol Top 5

Alex Preston cruised through another round of American Idol, and New Hampshire's favorite performer is now one of five finalists.

C.J. Harris was voted off the show on April 24.

Preston, sounding upbeat in an interview with Greg and the Morning Buzz, talks about staying true to who he is as an artist. That interview, and each week on American Idol, showcases a musician who is having the time of his life and eager to grow as a performer.

The Idol finalists now are:  Preston, Caleb Johnson, Jena Irene, Jessica Meuse, and Sam Woolf.
