Here are the top stories from last week on New Hampshire Patch sites.

Christmas has come and gone but it made its mark on some of the eyes and minds of readers of New Hampshire’s 12 Patch sites. During the last week, Christmas stories, along with breaking news, crime updates, and other stories were popular for the week.

Here is a rundown of the hot stories last week on Patch:

  1. The most read story of the week was a plea from a mother in North Conway asking her teenage daughter, Abigail Hernandez, to come home for Christmas.
  2. Coming in at No. 2 for the week was a feature in Nashua listing the restaurants that were open in the city on Christmas Day.
  3. Local firefighters and a business in Hampton helping out a girl at Christmas was also a popular read.
  4. Two women arrested in Hampton Beach during a heroin and cocaine sweep was also a hot story, coming in fourth.
  5. Rounding out the Top 5 was a story about a homeless man in Concord who allegedly shot another man in the face with a flare gun.
  6. Patch’s storm and accident coverage on Thursday was also a popular read this last week.
  7. A driver allegedly involved in a hit and run being charged with negligent homicide in Amherst came in at No. 7.
  8. Five arrested at the Merrimack Premium Outlets on drug charges was also one of the most read stories of the week.
  9. A Concord man allegedly assaulted a state trooper in Salem after the trooper stopped to help the man with his disabled vehicle.
  10. And rounding out the Top 10 for the New Hampshire Patch sites was a post about a man being arrested after an alleged assault in a Hampton Beach motel.
