Mooney Announces Candidacy for State Senate in District 11

Maureen Mooney, former State Representative and longtime Merrimack resident, announced her candidacy for the State Senate in District 11. The District 11 seat consists of the towns of Amherst, Merrimack, Milford and Wilton and was previously held by Sen. Peter Bragdon (R-Milford) who announced that he will not run for re-election.

Maureen has been an active member of the District 11 community for over two decades and will be actively campaigning toward the September 9th Republican primary on the principles of less spending, lower taxes/fees and individual liberty.

"Having served in the N.H. House for three-terms, I know the importance of protecting New Hampshire as a place to live, work, do business and raise a family," Mooney said.  "After spending nearly an entire month talking with voters throughout Amherst, Merrimack, Milford and Wilton, it's clear that the voters are looking for an honest, effective and conservative voice in Concord. I'm campaigning to be that voice for the people of District 11 and respectfully ask for your vote."

Maureen Mooney served in the New Hampshire House of Representative for three terms from 2002-2008. During that time she was appointed an Assistant Republican Leader, and a member of both the Judiciary and Rules Committees.  She also served as the N.H. Republican State Committee Secretary and Chairman of Platform Committee.
