Jimmy Fund Little League Program presented by Extra Innings®

BOSTON – Calling all little leaguers! Grab your bat and glove and take a swing at cancer by joining the Jimmy Fund Little League Program presented by Extra Innings to help support adult and pediatric cancer care and research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

The program, now in its 28th year, provides little leaguers of New England with the opportunity to continue to play baseball or softball after the conclusion of their regular season by participating in this local tournament and fundraising effort. These youngsters are given the opportunity to develop their athletic skills, build self-confidence, and, most importantly help others by fundraising in their local community.

“Young baseball and softball players from New England are encouraged to participate in the Jimmy Fund Little League program,” said 2014 Jimmy Fund Co-Captain and Red Sox catcher David Ross. “These young players get to show their love of the game, learn the value of teamwork, and raise funds for cancer care and research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute,” added Jimmy Fund Co-Captain and Red Sox third baseman Will Middlebrooks.
