The following information is being sent to you in conjunction with NH Homeland Security and Emergency Management, National Weather Service of Gray, Maine, and the NH State Police. This is an update on the winter storm expected to move into the area later tonight and continue through tomorrow. Most snow accumulation will be present by 7 a.m. in the southeast part of the state and by 8 a.m. for the remaining parts of the state. We can expect snow ranges to be from 6-18 inches. This snow is predicted to be heavy and wet; therefore, we are anticipating scattered power outages, particularly across the southeast part of New Hampshire.
Predictions:
Temperature: Lows tonight will be in the upper teens in the North and upper 20s in the South. Temperatures on Tuesday will be in the upper 20s in the North and slightly above freezing in the South.

Wind: NWS expects winds to be 10-20 mph with gusts to 30 mph possible in the Southeast.
Snow: 10-18” of heavy, wet snow is expected for most of the state with 6-10” in the Southeast.

Rain: Mixed precipitation and/or changeover from snow to sleet or rain is possible in the Southeast. If this changeover does not occur, snowfall amounts will increase considerably.
Ice Accretion: No ice accretion is expected with this event.
Marine Forecast: A Gale Warning will be issued for coastal areas with gusts to 40kt. Astronomical tides will be 3-4’ below flood levels. No significant impact expected.
Travel: Snowfall will be ongoing on Tuesday, affecting both morning and evening commutes.
If you must be on the roadways during this storm, please slow down and allow extra space between your vehicle and others. Slower speeds, slower acceleration, slower steering, and slower braking.
Please keep both hands on the wheel and eyes on the road. Driving in a snowstorm is not the time to be driving while distracted.
When sharing the roads with a plow truck, please don't crowd the plow. Don’t travel beside a plow truck for long periods of time. A snowplow operator's field of vision is restricted; you may see them, but they may not see you.
Before venturing out, please make sure you've cleared the snow off all of your vehicle's windows and lights, to include your brake lights and turn signals. And always buckle up!
The best place to be during a snow storm is home. If you must be on the roadways, give yourself extra time to reach your destination safely. It's not worth putting yourself and others in a dangerous situation.
