Be a leaf peeper. According to the state tourism website, fall foliage season has reached its peak, read: It would be a great weekend to take a drive and check out the colors Mother Nature has to offer during this most glorious season. Check out the New Hampshire Foliage Tracker for specifics on what areas are the best to visit this weekend.

Free Starbucks for the Generous of Spirit: Thank a dysfunctional government for your free coffee today. This "pay-it-forward" promotion at Starbucks, inspired by all the unrest in Washington, D.C. in an effort to bring everyone together over a cup of coffee, expires Friday, so go get some free coffee and make someone's day. There are Starbucks shops in Nashua, Merrimack and Bedford.
