11 Amherst Residents Running For Office

Four Democrats and seven Republicans will be looking for votes later this year.

The presidential election isn't the only political event to get excited about this year.

Many Amherst locals have their eyes set on New Hampshire open political positions. The state primary election will be held Sept. 11, while the general election is set for Nov. 6.

Democrats Shannon E. Chandley, Stephen V. Morgan, John I. Shonle and Len Gerzon are running for state representative.

Republicans Peter T. Hansen, Reed A. Panasiti, Robert H. Rowe and Stephen B. Stepanek will also be running for state representative this year.

Pamela D. Coughlin (R) will be running for Register of Deeds, while Carol H. Holden is running for County Commissioner again.
