CONCORD - The House Finance Committee will be visiting communities throughout New Hampshire conductin hearings on the budget. This provides the community an opportunity to learn about the budget, ask questions and communicate their feedback to the committee.

Nashua's hearing is set for March 11 at Nashua Community College (details below).

Said House Speaker Terie Norelli, D-Portsmouth, on the Budget Hearings:

“These meetings allow us to directly engage the communities throughout the state and receive valuable feedback as we proceed through the budget process. Citizen participation is the foundation of New Hampshire governance.”

And Finance Committee Chairwoman Mary Jane Wallner, D, Concord, said:

“The Finance Committee looks forward to going around the state to hear what the citizens have to say about the proposed budget.”

Each meeting will be led by either the Chair or Vice-Chair of the House Finance Committee.
